The Mount Si Wildcats had an
exciting trip to the State Volleyball Tournament. They beat
Lakes HS the first round. Then beat Camas HS in the quarter
finals, who was
ranked 1st in state and
picked to win the state championship. The Wildcats came back
from being down 2-1 in sets to defeat Camas. That put the
Wildcats into the semi-finals against Bishop Blanchet. They
dropped the match against Blanchet, who went
on to win the Class 3A championship.
The Wildcats played for 3rd and 6th place
and
lost to Prairie HS. They finished
their 2009 Volleyball season with a 6th place finish.
It was an exciting year for Mount Si Volleyball.
We wish our two seniors, Robyn
Schirmer and Shelagh Macaulay, lots of luck and a bright future.
We will miss you guys!
Congratulations also go out to Zoe
Gogan and Robin Schirmer for their All State / 3A Division
accomplishments. Zoe was selected for the 1st Team /
Hitters Category and Robyn was selected Honorable Mention in the
Setters Category.
